Close to a hundred film appearances, including those in Les Filles de Malemort (1974), Let Joy Reign Supreme (1975), The Tenant (1976), Chausette Surprise (1978), Like a Turtle on Its Back (1978), Le Cheval d'Orgueil (1980), Marche a l'Ombre (1984), The Fugitives (1986), Monsieur Hire (1989), Prospero's Books (1991), The Favour, the Watch and the Very Big Fish (1991), Toxic Affair (1993), Pret-a-Porter (1994), Le Grand Duc (1996), Summer Things (2001), Je Vous Trouve Tres Beau (2005), The Minister (2011), The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014), Odd Job (2016), Kiss & Tell (2018), The Good Doctor (2019) and Take a Chance on Me (2023), his last. He died from heart failure.
