Born Dolores Heft, her movie CV includes Phantom of the Rue Morgue (1953), The Bounty Hunter (1954), Uncle Vanya (1957), Underworld U.S.A. (1960, her best performance), 13 West Street (1962), The Candy Snatchers (1973), Truck Stop Women (1974), The Stronger (1976) and Tell Me a Riddle (1980), her last. Married to and divorced from actors Franchot Tone and Ben Piazza, she later taught and coached acting in New York and California.
