Tall, dark-haired, boyishly good-looking American actor with distinctive 'space' between nose and upper lip. An infrequent visitor to films, he became - after a few high-schoolers - a specialist in outdoor adventures: The Crowded Sky (1960), Claudelle Inglish/Young and Eager (1961), Palm Springs Weekend (1963), Beach Ball (1965), The Bridge at Remagen (1969), Catlow (1971), The Adventures of the Wilderness Family (1975), Across the Great Divide (1976), The Sea Gypsies (1977), The Further Adventures of the Wilderness Family (1978), Adventures of the Wilderness Family 3 (1979), Death Ray 2000 (1980), Kelly (1981), A Night in Heaven (1983), Scorpion (1986), Man Outside (1987), Born to Race(1988), Patriots (1995) and Redboy 13 (1997), his last. He died from natural causes, survived by his (second) wife Alina and three children.
