Very pretty, diminutive, dark-haired, appealing actress signed by Samuel Goldwyn when only 14. Although she showed up well in some of the producer's pictures, she never fulfilled her early promise, and, married at 18, was soon playing vapid heroines in westerns. Born Joan Eunson and the goddaughter of Joan Crawford, her films include Roseanna McCoy (title role, 1949), Our Very Own (1950), Edge of Doom/Stronger Than Fear (1950), On the Loose (1951), Skirts Ahoy! (1952), It Grows on Trees (1952), Column South (1953), The Fortune Hunter/The Outcast (1964), A Strange Adventure (1956), No Name on the Bullet (1959), The Flying Fontaines (1959) and The Walking Target (1960), her last. Later taught film drama and became the editor of Hollywood Studio Magazine.
