Actor

Born - 15 June 1946, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England
Died - 9 November 2021

Wide-mouthed, snub-nosed, brown-haired, cheeky-looking British supporting actor who once disparagingly referred to his career as 'cheap, talented and always available'. His availability stemmed from the age of 15 when he was selected for a role in Whistle Down the Wind (1961). A long list of subsequent credits included Term of Trial (1962), Murder Ahoy (1964), Othello (1965), The Taming of the Shrew (1967), Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush (1968), The Virgin Soldiers (1969), Loot (1970), Psychomania (1972), The Land That Time Forgot (1974), Trial by Combat (1976), Out of the Darkness (1985), Mack the Knife (1989), Cynthia Payne's House of Cyn (1995), Tooth (2000), Pride & Prejudice (2005), Robin Hood (2010) and War Horse (2011), his last. Married to film makeup artist Pauline Cox, who survives him, he died from cancer.
