American actor with dark, wavy hair, of Lebanese descent. Born Maurice Elias, he played clean-cut juveniles at the beginning of his career, which was truncated when he lost an arm and a leg in a 1973 motor-cycle accident that killed his then-girlfriend. In 1995, he was charged with child molestation and attempted suicide, later being sentenced to six years in jail. Married and divorced from actresses Kim Darby and Connie Stevens, his films included Sayonara (1957), Hell Bent for Glory (1957), South Pacific (1958), The Young Sinner (1961), Summer Magic (1963), A Swingin' Summer (1965), The Sheriff (1966), Flareup (1969), Posse (1975), Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983) and F/X 2 (1991), his last. Stacy left the acting business in 1992. He died from an allergic reaction to hospital treatment.
