Round-facd, unsmiling Scottish actor with tousled brown hair, often seen in tough roles, notably Tommy Hunter in TV's Line of Duty series. Starting in TV's EastEnders in the late 1980s, he was later seen in a number of films: Forget About Me (1990), Rob Roy (1995), The Ghost and the Darkness (1996), Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997), 200 Cigarettes (1999), Rip It Off (2001), Mr Barrington (2003), Ellie Parker (2005), The Damned United (2009), For Those in Peril (2013), Filth (2013), Ghosts (2014), Walk Like a Panther (2018), Our Ladies (2019), Zopa - Diamonds into Dust (2021), Mia and the Dragon Princess (2023) and Damaged (2024), his last. Died suddenly at 59.
