Aron Kincaid

Actor-painter

Born - 15 June 1940, Los Angeles, California, USA
Died - 6 January 2011

Tall, blond and deeply-tanned co-lead, mainly remembered now for his participation in American-International's 'beach' movies of the 1960s and 1970s, but in fact a multi-talent (born Norman Williams) who painted and sold portrait paintings while still a child. While at college, he starred in and directed a feature film called The Fall of Nineveh (1957) and subsequently decided to try an acting career. There were small roles in Wasp Woman (1959) and Spartacus (1960) and some TV, before he landed up in the surf, and made The Girls on the Beach (1965), Dr G and the Bikini Machine (1965), Beach Ball (1965), Ski Party (1965), and The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini (1966). For a while, he was busy: The Secret Sharer (1967), The Happiest Millionaire (1967), The New Wife (1968) , Black Water Gold (1970), The Proud and Damned (1972) and Carquake (1976). Subsequent roles were smaller and less rewarding and, after The Golden Child (1986), he went back to his first love, art, selling landscapes and seascapes, with a sideline in voice-over work in animation. Bisexual, he was engaged four times, all to actresses, but eventually settled down with a male partner. He died from heart-related problems.
