Tall, brown-haired. pugnacious American supporting actor (and leading man in TV series, where he worked consistently after success on stage, coming on as Paul Neman's understudy in Sweet Bird of Youth). Occasional films include The Wild Season (1971), Every Which Way But Loose (1978), The Soldier (1982), Below Utopia (1996), Freedom Strike (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), Glass Trap (2004), Touched (2005), The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007), American Bandits: Frank and Jesse James (2010), and Whoa! (2013). The TV movie Kidnapped: The Hannah Anderson Story (2015) was his last work. Married/divorced from actress Sally Stark, he died from natural causes.
