Born - 4 June 1927, Neffs. Ohio, USA
Died - 1 June 2009

Strapping, fair-haired, strong-jawed American actor of faintly menacing handsomeness, a former model. After spotting him in Six Bridges to Cross (1955), 20th Century-Fox took him on at the slightly late age of 29 and he made his debut for them trying to shoot Sheriff Robert Ryan in The Proud Ones (1956), followed by On the Threshold of Space (1956), Love Me Tender (1956), The James Brothers (1957), South Pacific (1958) and others. After a few odds and ends - Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959), Heller in Pink Tights (1960), 12 to the Moon (1961) - he headed to Italy to co-star in muscleman epics, westerns and other action films: Scourge of the Barbarians (1962), Hercules Against the Mongols (1963), Jacob and Esau (1963), Son of Hercules in the Land of Darkness (1964), Road to Fort Alamo (1964), Hercules Against the Barbarians (1965), Mission Bloody Mary (1965), Savage Gringo (1966), Desert Commandos (1967), Spy-Killers (1968), Tarzana, the Wild Woman (1969) and A Man Called Sledge (1970). A few later appearances included those in Teste di Quoio (1981), Twice in a Lifetime (1985) and Arena (1989), his last. He stayed in Italy, where he died from a heart attack.
