Straight-staring, bow-lipped, dark-haired glamour star, a favourite pin-up with GIs during World War two, who played vamps, showgirls and more during a 50-odd film career. Getting into films through modelling, Randall, born Alaine Brandes, made her debut as a model in Turnabout (1940). A popular cover girl throughout the war years, she also made appearances in Ziegfeld Girl (1941), The Lone Rider in Ghost Town (1941), Louisiana Purchase (1941), Fall In (1942), Happy Go Lucky (1943), Seven Doors to Death< (1944), Because of Him (1946), Night and Day (1946), The Shadow Returns (1946), The Homestretch (1947), The Case of the Baby Sitter (1947), The Bride Goes Wild (1948), Roaring City (1951) and the short Come On Seven (1956), her last appearance. During World War Two, she was also a popular disc jockey with the Armed Forces Radio Service.
