Close to 100 film appearances include those in FM (1978), My Bodyguard (1980), Take This Job and Shove It (1981), Mr Mom (1983), Clue (1985), Rented Lips (1987), Think Big (1989), Far Out Man (1990), The Player (1992), Mrs Doubtfire (1993), Jingle All the Way (1996), Zack and Reba (1998), Attention Shoppers (2000), The Year That Trembled (2002), Come Away Home (2005), Relative Strangers (2006), Killers (2010), And They're Off (2011), Hail Mary (2016), A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018) and Melons (2022), his last. Survived by Wendy, his (third) wife of more than 40 years, he died after a long illness.
