Died - 10 January 2017

Dark-haired, open-faced comic entertainer, a star on such TV comedy shows as Saturday Night Live, but only a cameo performer in films, his career often hindered by Capgras Syndrome, a rare condition in which the sufferer believes his nearest and dearest have been replaced by imposters. He eventually recovered after a period in custody, with the help of psychiatric and medicinal treatments. Born in Italy, but raised in Canada, Rosato made his debut in a Canadian film, The Silent Partner in 1978. Later credits include Hog Wild (1980), Improper Channels (1981), Utilities (1983), Busted Up (1986), Hearts of Fire (1987), Switching Channels (1988), Brown Bread Sandwiches (1989), Mystery Date (1991), Conspiracy of Fear (1995), Family Plan (1997) and Seeds of Doubt (1998). Returning after his health problems, he made Real Gangsters (2012), It Was You, Charlie (2013), The Christmas Switch (2014), The Big Fat Stone (2014), No Deposit (2015) and Born Dead (2016), his last. He died from a heart attack.
