Balding, moustachioed, wry-faced American character actor, a one-time high-wire circus performer who bore a passing resemblance to Gene Hackman. Scattered film appearances, mostly cameos, included those in Simon (1980), Arthur (1981), True Blood (1989), The Pompatus of Love (1995), BlackMale (2000), Sometimes the Neighbor (2003), Little Manhattan (2005), Flannel Pajamas (2006), Eavesdrop (2008), The Blind (2009), Every Day (2010), The Innkeepers (2011), Whiskey 'n Ditch (2012), Snapper Magee's (2014), Mildred and the Dying Parlor (2016), Most Likely to Murder (2018) and The Kitchen (2019). He died from duodenal cancer.
