Pretty, very dark-haired daughter of Charlie Chaplin and sister of actress Geraldine Chaplin. She lived the greater part of her life in France, where she made most of her films, mainly in supporting roles: Limelight (1952), A Countess from Hong Kong (1966), L'Odeur des Fauves (1971), The Canterbury Tales (1971), Escape to the Sun (1972), Shadowman (1974), Docteur Francoise Gailland (1976), Jack the Ripper (1976), La Guerillera (1983), The Bay Boy (1984), Cop au Vin (1985), Coincidences (1986), Hemingway (1988) and Downtown Heat (1994), her last. Longtime companion of actor Maurice Ronet, with whom she had a son; Ronet died in 1983. Her (second) husband, whom she married in 1989, died in 2013.
