Apple-cheeked, buxom blonde pin-up actress of the late 1950s and early 1960s who later went brunette, mixing Norman Wisdom comedies with more serious roles. Films include Zarak (1956), Brothers in Law (1956), Lucky Jim (1957), Make Mine Mink (1959), Too Hot to Handle (1960), The Bulldog Breed (1960), Mrs Gibbons' Boys (1962), Out of the Fog (1962), A Matter of Choice (1963), The Comedy Man (1963), A Stitch in Time (1964), Smokescreen (1964), The Wild Affair (1965), The Early Bird (1965) and, much later, The End of the Affair (1999), her last. Married for 48 years to actor George Cole until his death in 2015.
