Brown-haired, thoughtful-looking documentarian and observer of the current scene (and later novelist), who also made a couple of fictional feature films. Most notable for his 1967 doc Tonite Let's All Make Love in London. His other documentary work included The Perception of Life (1964), When I Was Young (1965), Charlie is My Darling (1966), Wholly Communion (1966), The Benefit of the Doubt (1967), The Fall (1969) and, much later, The Rolling Stones - Charlie is My Darling, Ireland 1965 (2012). Narrative films were few: Daddy (1973), Fire in the Water (1977) and Terrorism Considered as One of the Fine Arts (2009). Four times married and divorced, once with actress Coral Atkins, he had seven children, six daughters and one son.
