Sharp-faced, tousle-haired Latino supporting actor, the Mexican or battling native American of many a cinema or TV western. Born Eugene Iglesias Castillo, he entered films in his early twenties: The Texan Meets Calamity Jane (1950), Mask of the Avenger (1951), The Brave Bulls (1951), Indian Uprising (1952), Hiawatha (1952), Jack McCall, Desperado (1953),Tumbleweed (1953), Taza, Son of Cochise (1954), They Rode West (1954), The Naked Dawn (1955), Underwater! (1955), Walk the Proud Land (1956), Domino Kid (1957), Cowboy (1958), Rio Bravo (1959), Key Witness (1960), Frontier Uprising (1961), Safe at Home (1962), Apache Rifles (1964), The Money Trap (1965) and The Moving Target/Harper (1966), his last. After 1970, he left acting behind. He died following a stroke.
