Gloria Pall

Actress/dancer

Born - 15 July 1927, Brooklyn, New York, USA
Died - 30 December 2012

Tall, blonde voluptuous showgirl, who seemed destined for a career of bit parts until she was hired as the seductive hostess, Voluptua, on a TV show dedicated to romantic movies. Born Gloria Pallatz, she was a beauty contest winner at 20, and took modelling and dancing assignments, including a film debut in The French Line (1953). She had better roles in All Ashore 1953), and as the stripper Sugar Torch in the noir thriller The Crimson Kimono (1959). But it was mostly back to waitresses, models and dancers: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954), City of Shadows (1955), The Night of the Hunter (1955), Hot Shots (1956), This Could Be the Night (1957), Jailhouse Rock (1957), The Brothers Karamazov (1958), Elmer Gantry (1960), Ada (1961) and the TV movie Low Man on a Totem Pole (1964), her last work before she moved into real estate, running her own company called Call Pall. She died from heart failure.
