A fuller-faced version of his father, superstar Steve McQueen, the junior McQueen studied martial arts under Chuck Norris, and subsequently starred in many low-budget action films that called on him to show his fighting skills, before quitting movies in his early forties: Skateboard (1978), Hadley's Rebellion (1983), The Karate Kid (1984), Fever Pitch (1985), The Karate Kid Part II (1986), Nightforce (1987), Martial Law (1990), Where the Red Fern Grows: Part Two (1991), Death Ring (1992), New York Cop (1993), Jimmy Hollywood (1994), Indecent Bahavior II (1994), Bullet II (1995), Red Line (1996), Papertrail (1997), Surface to Air (1998) and Fall: The Price of Silence (2001), his last. Survived by his (second) wife Jeanie and three children, he died from multiple organ failure.
