Peter Hansen

Actor

Born - 5 December 1921, Oakland, California, USA
Died - 9 April 2017

Studious-looking actor of long-faced handsomeness. After war service in the Pacific he decided to become an actor and, following stage experience, was signed by Paramount in 1949. The studio gave him some good supporting roles, frequently in westerns, and he was busy in films throughout the 1950s: Branded (1950), The Last Outpost (1951),Passage West/High Venture (1951), When Worlds Collide (1952), The Savage (1952), Prisoner of War (1954), Drum Beat (1954), Rough Company (955), Hell on Frisco Bay (1955), The Proud and Profane (1956), A Cry in the Night (1956), Three Violent People (1957), The Deep Six (1958) and Pocketful of Miracles (1961). He remained furiously busy on TV and in 1965 embarked on what would be a near-40 year stint on the daytime TV soap General Hospital. His remaining film roles included those in Apache Rifles (1964), Harlow (1965), The Man Who Wasn't There (1983), The War of the Roses (1989) and Dragonfly (2002), his last.
