Heavily-jawed (but handsome), thickly black-haired American 'second lead', the son of actor-director Richard Benedict. Born Nicholas Sciurba, he was acting as a boy, but latterly best known for running roles in such 'daytime soaps' as Days of Our Lives. Films include Wiretapper (1955), Mike and the Mermaid (1964), Winter-a-Go-Go (1968), Impasse (1969), Slaughter's Big Rip-Off (1973), Disconnected (1984), The Naked Cage (1986), Rachel River (1987), An American Summer (1990), The Pistol: Birth of a Legend (1991), Great Harry and Jane (1993), East Meets West (1995), Angela Mooney (1996), Courting Courtney (1997), Route 66 (1998), Entourage (2000), Kept (2001) and A Beautiful Friendship (2011), his last. He died following complications from spinal surgery.
