Born - 29 February 1920, Sacramento, California, USA
Died - 22 January 2010

Lithe American performer of dark, brooding good looks, busy in films in the 1940s, but perhaps best remembered for his dancing as the 'dream Curley' in the 1955 version of Oklahoma!. He made his film debut as part of the Lester Horton dance troupe in Moonlight in Havana (1942), but soon began taking acting roles: Valley of Hunted Men (1942), Phantom of the Opera (1943), California Gold Rush (1946), The House Across the Street (1949), The Toast of New Orleans (1950), The Band Wagon (1953). The Prodigal (1955) and The Peacemaker (1956). TV took up much of his time from then on, and, as an older man, he was involved in nearly 400 episodes of the daytime soap All My Children between 1979 and 2009. He died from pulmonary disease a month before his 90th birthday.
