Fair-haired, rubber-legged dancer and actor who hopped around Hollywood in the 1940s, often as a member of the Jivin' Jacks and Jills. When his cinema days were over, he opened a dance academy in Los Angeles - also acting as the model for Disney's Peter Pan in 1952, his last work for the cinema. Shirley Temple's teenage love interest in Miss Annie Rooney (1942), his other films included You Can't Take It With You (1938), The Star Maker (1939), Zis Boom Bah/Jazz Mad (1941), What's Cookin'? (1942), Private Buckaroo (1942), Mister Big (1943), Maisie Goes to Reno (1944), Our Hearts Were Young and Gay (1944), The Sailor Takes a Wife (1945), Our Hearts Were Growing Up (1946), The Flame (1947), Big Town Scandal (1948), Julia Misbehaves (1948) and Joe Palooka in The Counterpunch (1949), his last. He died from natural causes.
