Bulbous-eyed, round-faced, stockily-built, aggressive American actor with disappearing dark curly hair. Born Richard Morea or Gerald DeLouise (depending on your source), Young was an ex-boxer who mostly appeared in streetwise character roles, notably as Paulie in all six 'Rocky' films. Oscar-nominated for Rocky (1976), his distinguished film CV also included Carnival of Blood (1970), The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight (1971), Across 110th Street (1972), Cinderella Liberty (1973), Chinatown (1974), The Killer Elite (1975), Serpico (1976), The Choirboys (1977), Convoy (1978), the title role in Uncle Joe Shannon (1979), The California Dolls/All the Marbles...
