Rather sad-looking American boy actor with curly, tousled hair, who had a busy, four-year Hollywood career before enlisting for war service with the US Army Air Corps. He never returned to the film capital, and spent the rest of his life working in finance. At the age of nine, he began working for MGM as a newsboy, graduating to small film roles before freelancing with other studios: Boys' Town (1938), Test Pilot(1938), The Crooked Way/Gang Bullets (1938), I Am a Criminal (1938), Beau Geste (1939), Streets of New York (1939), Let Us Live (1939), Son of the Navy (1940), Hold That Woman! (1940), Marked Men (1940), Meet the Chump (1941), Confessions of Boston Blackie (1941), The Big Boss (1941), and more.
