Black-haired, not-too-tall, compact, slightly Italian-looking character actor, in numerous film and TV spots after studies with Lee Strasberg and theatrical experience; he also created the Yiddish Kinder Theater. After a film debut in The Undercover Man (1949), his credits included Follow the Sun (1951), A Slight Case of Larceny (1953), The Human Jungle (1954), Black Tuesday (1954), Pete Kelly's Blues (1955), The Invisible Boy (1957), The Brothers Karamazov (1958), a suitor to Lana Turner in Imitation of Life (1959), The Boy and the Pirates (1960), The Money Trap (1965), Rosie! (1967), The Pink Jungle (1968), then a huge amount of TV work before Black Sunday (1977), The Other Side of Midnight (1977), Being There (1979) and Splash (1984), his last. Wyenn and his wife, who survives him, were married 71 years - a Hollywood record.
