Director: Justin Edgar

A worthy, no-budget comedy-drama centred on a well-meaning (failed) film director who takes a job teaching film to three (later four) disabled teenagers in wheelchairs. Hugh Grant might have been nice in the lead of this one, but, since that would have increased the budget by several million pounds, such speculation is pointless.

As it is, Coleman, who also co-wrote this, does grow into the role as the film goes on. Two of the group harbour dark secrets, while the latecomer falls for the (barely) reformed car thief. Acting is just about OK and the direction makes the most of what story there is, although a wheelchair dance sequence goes on too long. Kim Humphrey's quirky music, however, boosts the mood of the production every time it bounces on to the soundtrack.
