Results, alas, are not what are achieved by this poorly titled sort-of-romcom centred on the world of fitness training.

Canadian Cobie Smulders, who continues to vainly search for star-making roles outside her Avengers/Agents of SHIELD franchise (she plays the stalwart Maria Hill), is the uptight, hard-cursing instructor who's the number one attraction at co-star Guy Pearce's pricy gym.

She finds herself loaned out to instruct Kevin Corrigan's bored, porky, pizza-guzzling millionaire, who spends his spare time leering at her lycra-clad butt on his giant TV screen.

This sounds more like the set-up for a soft-porn movie, but in practice the couple do little more than smooch while high on a combination of whiskey and marijuana (not generally recommended for fitness instructors).

If this sounds lively, it isn't, with long pauses between spurts of dialogue (written by the director) that is occasionally witty but just not sparkling enough on the whole.

You'll have no problems guessing who Cobie finally ends up with, or who bankrolls Pearce's new gym - that is, if you're still awake. A good cast deserves better.
