Badly directed, badly performed, yet still fitfully amusing, this Brit black crime comedy might have been quite interesting if it had anyone with a clue about making, or acting in a film involved. Or, at least, that's how the finished product comes across.
It gets off to a tidy start. Lawlessness is running riot on UK city streets, 'We need some kind of saviour,' gasps an off-screen voice. 'Jesus or Batman, or someone like that'.
What they get is a psycho cycle cop (Bishop) who has been disturbed, as his mother (Barber) puts it, 'ever since that swing got you in the playground'. As you can see, there are some good one-liners here, but no one to do them justice. Even experienced veteran Barber should have been killed off far earlier than she is - for gross over-acting.
