Will, an itinerant musician (Menzies), who sings in a club, lives surrounded by pills and is clearly contemplating suicide, comes to the rescue of Eve (O'Reilly), the club barmaid, when she's assaulted by a drunk on her way home. Will offers to walk her the rest of the way. It's a long journey that lasts all night and takes in the party to which she was going.
The following day, they visit her mother (Jones), who's suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's. The sight is too much for Will, who also has a secret. In between, they walk, take in the London Eye and walk some more.
This is the kind of film in which, although it's beautifully photographed by Shane Daly, you could close your eyes for minutes on end, listen to the occasional dialogue and not miss anything. It is quite touching at the end, but takes a long 91 minutes to get there.
