A mixture of old-fashioned slasher movie and more fashionable torture porn, this is a disgracefully violent film to which the 3D effects add very little. Its torture scenes are more gruesome than you could imagine and inexcusably graphic.

Joan (Bettis, once a promising actress) returns to her home town 16 years after she and a friend were terrorised and sliced up by psycho mortician Bishop (Cotton). She escaped only after having to give the nod to her friend's murder, killing the friend in the process. Now, killings begin again, all friends of Joan's niece Olympia (Blanton) and increasingly grisly. It looks as though Aunt Joan may be responsible...

It's the kind of film where the threatened Olympia's dad (Chris Titus) reassures her with 'Lucas is in his squad car across the street'. Well, that's Lucas totally doomed then. And why does the murderer simply kill his first victim, rather than drag her off to his torture chamber? It's all so stomach-churningly awful that you won't care, even if you can bear to watch. 'Have you had enough?' screams the torturer. I had, after 20 minutes.
