A family film that delivers the kind of lively comedy-and-adventure entertainment one expects, as it continues the narrative of Toy Story 3, as audacious cowboy toy Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks, better heard than seen?) and his Toyland pals boldly go where screenwriters Andrew Stanton and Stephany Folsom (heading a galaxy of eight credited writers) take them. Here Woody decides to act as mentor for invented 'toy' Forky because the cute little creature sees himself as 'trash'.

Cue cute-as-all-get-out animated adventures when Woody's 'owner' Bonnie takes the gang on a road trip during which Woody re-bonds with old friend Bo Peep - now contentedly living an independent life - encounters, among other lively characters, sinister dolls who come across like wannable shockfilm stars and, memorably, audacious Canadian motorcycle master Duke Caboon, voiced with gleeful zest by Reeves.

Zany fun is the driving force of an expectedly entertaining animated epic that still delivers, which one might consider to be no mean feat given that it's the fourth outing for Pixar's profit-reapers.
